FAQs
How to become a sport flyer?
A journey as a sport flyer usually starts either with a wind tunnel flying course or a skydiving course. You can take a flying course without any previous experience of the sport. Those who have jumped ten times can participate directly in events or training camps for beginner sport flyers.

What is the Aeronautica wind tunnel like?
Our wind tunnel was manufactured by Aerodium and installed in 2013. It has a diameter of 4.3 metres and a total tunnel height of 17 metres. The height of the glass walls alone is a staggering 9 metres! The tunnel has a closed air circulation system and four motors, which allow the tunnel to reach a top speed of 290 km/h. This makes it possible to fly in all positions, even in large groups. A special feature of our tunnel is the 'rabbit hole' at the top, which allows you to 'base-hop' into the airflow.
Is coutering included in the price?
The price of a flying lesson does not include coaching, but coaching can be purchased separately. We have coaching camps with both national and international coaches. Some of our wind tunnel instructors also coach in addition to their own work. Contact us and we can recommend a coach to suit your skill level. Depending on the coach, coaching rates are typically around 150 - 200 €/hour.
Where is the nearest dropzone?
An hour's drive from Kouvola, in Utti, is Finland's largest skydiving club, Skydive Finland ry. Skydiving is mainly from April to October.
